What are tambour doors.

Tambour doors are a neat storage solution. They are made from a series of slatted, interlocking plastic or metal prices that combine to provide a door front that is flexible and can slide around corners. A tambour door usually has an upper and lower track and reel, this keeps the door in place and acts as a guide. Some time sthe door sides side ways out of the way, other times it may slide upward and be gathered into a spiral frame.

Why are tambour doors used in campervans.

Tambour doors can provide better access to awkward limited storage space. Whether that is a shower door in narrow confied space, or an upward rolling door that give easier acess to a rear corner closet. Their main advantage is that they do not need to open inward or outward like conventional hinged doors.
