Duel Power Consumer Unit (Inverter & Campsite Hook-Up)

A great new product that is aimed at installations with higher than average power requirements. As the main feature of this consumer unit is it’s duel nature with auto changeover it will be best suited to run with a battery bank of 200amps and above along with 1000watt inverter. Perfect for medium to large vans such as conversions on Mercedes Sprinters, VW Crafters etc.

Ideal for those adding mains hook-up and an inverter at the same time. Incoming mains power is protected by an RCD, a single breaker is provided that runs from mains power only (ideal for running a battery charger, which should never be run from an inverter). An automatic changeover then selects between mains power or inverter power (biased to mains power). Power then runs through a second RCD and a breaker to run on board loads such as a ring main sockets etc.
