This twin, fixed/recessed induction hob from Sterling Power in front/back configuration is ideal for use with an inverter connected to a 12V battery. Its low-profile design and compact dimensions make it easy to mount in a worktop, and its 9 power levels allow adjustment the maximum heat output of 2800W quickly and easily.

Conveniently positioned at the front of the appliance, the touch controls offer several features such as front/rear hob selection, cooking timer with alarm, and power control. With the unit power sharing to produce a maximum output of 2800W, the front hob has a maximum power rating of 1800W and the rear 1200W.

Because induction cookers generate heat directly within the cookware, they use your battery’s energy far more efficiently than traditional electric or gas hobs because they can achieve higher temperatures. When used in enclosed environments like motorhomes, campers, caravans, and boats, they are safer than conventional gas or electric hobs since there is no exposed element or naked flame present and just the surface of the hob that comes into contact with the pan gets heated.

This hob has an A-grade black crystal glass cooking plate that is easy to clean, a power level indicator, touch control, and various safety features like auto-off and over-temperature protection.

The device has a UK 3-pin socket installed and can be powered by a battery-powered 230V inverter or a grid mains supply. You will need a pure sinewave type if utilising with an inverter, and we advise getting one with an output of at least 2800W. By doing this, you can utilise the entire heat output of the unit from both hobs without running the danger of an overload and inverter shutdown. As an alternative, you can only use both hobs while supplied by grid mains and run one hob when off-grid using a lower output inverter.

Ideal for use in leisure vehicles, off-grid buildings or whilst camping.
