The Saunton Pod Unit with compact low power 39 litre Vitrofrigo 12v fridge – our most popular campervan conversion pod unit. The fridge has an ice compartment and thermostat and it’s compact size means it takes very little power to run, averaging less than 0.8 amps an hour (that’s less than 12 watts). With the addition of low power cooling, your trips away can be that much easier and convenient. The pod is pre-wired with a just 2 wires which require connection to a suitable 12v supply.  We recommend that all of our Pod conversion units are wired to a 100amp leisure battery for use to best effect, this would usually provide around 3 days power to your fridge. The addition of a solar panel installation would allow the fridge to run for several weeks at at a time.
