The key point regarding fitting window trim is preparation, preparation, preparation. Fitting a window in your van doesn’t have to be difficult but it is important to pay attention to the details. Make sure you;

• Mask off the van body work to ensure no metal filings get imbedded in the paintwork
• Ensure the cut lines of the van panels are straight, file as needed.
• Properly de-burr and metals prime all cut edges.
• Knock on the window trim before you glue the window in.
• Off the window up as a dry fit to ensure it is a good shape and fits correctly.
• Use a good window glue with strong instant grab
• Avoid the window slipping by securing in place with tape while drying.
